What Meno is

Meno writes a daily, Scripture-grounded devotional shaped around the life you share with it. It is a companion to time in God’s Word; it is not a church, a pastor, a counselor, or a medical or mental-health service, and it is no substitute for any of them. If you are in crisis, please reach out to a trusted person, a local professional, or an emergency service. In the U.S. you can call or text 988 anytime.

Devotional content is generated by AI. How that works, and its honest limits, is described in our AI Transparency page, which is part of these terms.

Your account

You must be 18 or older. Keep your login to yourself, and share only what is yours to share; that includes details about other people. You are responsible for activity under your account; tell us right away if you believe it has been compromised.

Acceptable use

Use Meno for personal, non-commercial devotional practice. Do not:

• attempt to access another person’s data or probe our systems for weaknesses;
• abuse the generation system: automated scraping, bulk generation, or attempts to make it produce content unrelated to its purpose;
• use the service to harass, defame, or harm others, or to break the law;
• resell, sublicense, or misrepresent the service or its content as your own.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical. Security researchers acting in good faith should see our responsible disclosure policy

Your content

Your story stays yours. You own what you write in Meno: your profile, life updates, and prayers. You give us only the limited license needed to operate the service: to store your content, process it as described in the Privacy Policy, and display it back to you and to the people you have explicitly chosen to share with. That license ends when you delete your content or your account, except for what the law requires us to keep.

The devotionals written for you are yours to keep, save, and share personally. Scripture quotations come from public-domain translations.

Subscription, renewal & cancellation

Meno begins with a 14-day free trial. After the trial, the plan you chose becomes a paid subscription that renews automatically until you cancel: $7.99/month billed monthly, or $74.99/year billed annually, plus any applicable tax, charged to your payment method through Stripe. Both plans include every feature.

• Cancel anytime, online, in a few clicks: from your account, no phone call, no chat with a retention team. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access through the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
• Trial ending: if you do nothing, the trial converts to the plan you selected. Cancel before it ends and you will not be charged.
• Price changes: if a price ever changes, we will tell you by email in advance, and the new price applies only from your next renewal.
• Refunds: if something went wrong, write to us. We would rather make it right than argue.

Honest limits

Devotionals are generated with care and guardrails, but they are written by an AI and can miss the mark. Read them the way you’d receive any devotional: alongside Scripture itself and the counsel of your own church and community. The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claims arising out of the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; where that is the case, these limits apply only as far as permitted.

Disputes: talk to us first, then arbitration

If something goes wrong, email us first at hello@thedailymeno.com with a description of the issue; most problems are solved this way within days. If we can’t resolve it informally within 60 days, then, except for the carve-outs below, any dispute between you and Meno will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitration will be held in your county of residence or remotely; AAA’s consumer fee schedule applies, and we will pay the fees the rules assign to us.

• Small claims carve-out: either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court instead.
• Class action waiver: disputes are resolved individually; neither of us may participate in a class, consolidated, or representative action against the other.
• 30-day opt-out: you can reject this arbitration section entirely by emailing hello@thedailymeno.com with the subject “Arbitration opt-out” within 30 days of creating your account. Opting out does not affect any other part of these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where Meno is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll update this page, note the date at the top, record it in the legal change log, and, for significant changes, tell you by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Meno after changes take effect means you accept them.
