Law Enforcement & Emergency Disclosure

Meno stores religious beliefs and intimate life details: information that deserves an explicit, protective policy stated in advance, not improvised under pressure. This is that policy.
Our commitments
- We require valid legal process. We disclose user data to law enforcement only in response to legal process that is valid, specific, and binding on us, such as a subpoena, court order, or search warrant appropriate to the data sought. Content of your journal (life updates, prayers, devotionals) requires the highest applicable standard.
- We interpret requests narrowly. We produce the minimum data the process legally compels, and we challenge requests that are overbroad, improper, or unlawful.
- We tell you, unless legally barred. If we receive legal process for your data, we will notify you before disclosure so you can object, unless a court order prohibits notice or notice would create a risk of serious harm. Where notice is delayed, we provide it as soon as the restriction ends.
- Emergencies. If we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to prevent imminent death or serious physical harm, we may disclose the minimum information needed to address the emergency, and we document every such disclosure.
For law enforcement
Serve legal process by email to hello@thedailymeno.com with the subject “Legal process.” Include the specific account identifier (email address), the data sought, and the legal basis. Emergency requests should state the nature of the emergency and be signed by an authorized officer.
